Day Respite - Social Support - Wellness

Due to the lengthening life capacity, a good proportion of CALD people will lose or will have lost their English language skills due to illness (i.e. dementia, stroke) and remain fluent only in their native tongue. In addition, due to assimilation into Australian culture, they did not teach their children old customs and this adds to the difficulty in communication.
